Hey Team,

How are you all doing? I just returned from an amazing Coach Summit in Nashville attended by 25,000 Team Beachbody coaches! I was so happy to have about 100 coaches from our team attend. We are all fired up and ready to help so many more people become fit and healthy this year! I was very fortunate to be recognized as a Top Level coach as well as more importantly celebrate the recogniction of my team. This is all due to my amazing team of customers and coaches! I want to thank you all for being so supportive and allowing me the opportunity to be your coach!
This is the COOLEST part! At the Saturday night closing ceremony Beachbody awarded the $100,000 Team Beachbody Challenge prize to one guy and one girl who had the best results and most votes. I was so EXCITED to see it was Justin Wells – a member of OUR TEAM – who won!!! Justin lost over 160 pounds by doing Beachbody programs and drinking Shakeology, and he is a huge inspiration! He made the hard decision to try and keep doing for his young son. One decision, One decision can set so much in action. I am here to help. Dance Your Way to Fitness with Country Heat!

Throw on a cowboy hat – the latest way to lose weight has gone a little country.

From the creator of the 21 Day Fix, here comes a country dance-inspired cardio program with six simple routines set to the country tunes fans know and love.

Autumn Calabrese says her new workout is designed to get you moving with high-energy, low-impact workouts that are doable for all fitness levels.

“You can have different goals and still use the program,” she says. “It could be for weight loss, toning, just getting back into fitness, or getting into fitness if you’ve never worked out before. But it can also be for the person who really likes cardio and just looking for something new and fun to do.”

Country Heat is a 30 Day program with 30-minute workouts that require no equipment. How To Set Achievable Fitness Goals

If you made a resolution this year to get fit, you may have noticed how difficult it was to actually stick to that. If your resolve has faded, now is the time to evaluate what you are doing and set realistic goals that you can actually achieve. Here is some advice from Self magazine, and a few tips I’ve learned along the way.

Be SMART About Your Goals
SMART stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely—all of which are important in reaching a fitness objective. SMART goals can help keep you on track and remind you of your priorities, so you’re able to follow through with every workout or healthy meal you have planned.

1. Specific
You need to be very clear about what you want to achieve. A fuzzy goal like “get healthy” is too broad. Do you have a specific number of pounds you want to lose? Are you trying to shape up for an event? Do you want toned arms (who doesn’t?) or some muscle definition? Knowing your specific goal will set your path right from the start.

2. Measurable
Writing down your specific goal guides what you do, and tracking your progress is key. Take measurements. Take pictures (you will be glad later). Monitor your weight, without being a slave to the scale. Track how far you walk, or how fast you run. Evaluate if you are doing what it takes to achieve your specific goal.

3. Attainable
If you have a big goal in mind, break it down into mini goals to keep you on track. Structure your days around meeting these goals so that they become incorporated in your lifestyle. If you want to run a marathon, set small mileage goals and work your way up. If you want to lose weight, prep your meals, keep healthy snacks handy, be aware of your calorie range and write down what you eat, or park your car farther away to get in a quick walk. If you struggle on your own, try teaming up with someone who also wants to make consistent changes. Or try one of my free Facebook groups! You will find supportive people on the same journey for accountability and motivation. Message me for info.

4. Relevant
Create a goal with some type of motivation attached to it, like “I want to lose 10 pounds in two months to be ready for my wedding.” This can give a bit of relevancy to your goal. Whether you want to feel confident at a big event or perform better during everyday activities, pinpoint why a goal is important to you.

5. Timely
Setting deadlines creates a sense of urgency. Be honest and realistic about what you will be able to accomplish in a given time frame. “If losing 10 pounds is at the top of your list and you’re willing to make sacrifices in your social life and at work, we can attain that more quickly,” says Nike trainer Jason Loebig. And if not? That’s completely fine, too he says—you just need to adjust your expectations so they’re in line with your schedule and commitments.

Once you have your goal in place, it’s all about the follow-through. Be accountable to yourself, and the results will follow.

BBQ Chicken Flatbread Pizza

Serves: 4 servings

2 whole wheat flatbreads (or 6½-inch whole wheat pitas)
½ cup low-sugar barbecue sauce
1½ cups shredded cooked chicken breast
½ cup canned black beans, drained, rinsed
½ cup corn kernels
½ medium red onion, chopped
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice

Preheat oven to 350º F.
Place flatbreads on a large baking sheet.
Spread barbecue sauce evenly on flatbreads.
Top flatbreads evenly with chicken, black beans, corn, onion, and cheese.
Bake for 5 to 8 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Top evenly with cilantro and drizzle with lime juice. Serve immediately.

A Healthy Hot Weather Treat!

Chocolate peanut butter ice cream that’s good for you? And takes less than 10 minutes to make? Believe it. This is the ice cream you’ve been waiting for. It’s rich and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness, and it’s made from just four ingredients. It’s so simple, you don’t even need an ice cream maker.

  • 1 ripe medium banana, peeled, sliced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup almond milk, unsweetened
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter, all-natural smooth
  • 2 scoops chocolate Shakeology

Combine frozen banana slices into a food processor with almond milk, peanut butter, and a scoop of chocolate Shakeology, and blend! You might need to stop the food processor and use a spatula to scrape down the sides once or twice, but when the ice cream is ready, it will be perfectly smooth, frosty cold, and very soft. Enjoy it right away, or place it in the freezer for 20–30 minutes for a firmer, more scoopable ice cream.

3 Week Yoga Retreat Coming to Beachbody On Demand in September!
